Guardian By far the best of recent picture books. The animals look as if they were the wild imaginings of a 16th century explorer whose brain was addled by too many years in the tropics. Mensa Quest Great for tweaking even the most timid imagination. School Library Journal Clever and eye-catching - 1000 fantastic combinations with outlandish descriptions.
