David Musgrave was educated at Sydney University where he was awarded his PhD in Literature. His books include To Thalia (2004), On Reflections (2005) and Watermark (2006). His poetry and short stories have won or been shortlisted for several awards, including the Newcastle, Somerset, Bruce Dawe, Broadway and Henry Lawson prizes. His work as a critic includes publications on Samual Beckett, David Ireland, and Ern Malley Hoax, depression and Norman Lindsay's The Magic Pudding. In 2005, he founded the publishing house Puncher and Wattmann, which publishes poetry and literary fiction. Glissando - A Melodrama is his first novel.
